Call for Entry: 1^st Annual International Juried Knit-Art Student Exhibition

Dear Professor

The Fashion School at Kent State University invites graduate and undergraduate students to submit original knitted swatches/artwork.  I am hoping that your students might be interested to submit work.  If you are not the person connected with the knitting program could you please forward this to the appropriate person(s).

Details regarding the submission:

Artwork must be original work that is either hand-knitted, machine-knitted or digitally knit.  Any other fiber art like embroidery, crochet or felting is permitted on the knitted artwork for artistic expression. 

Size: Finished artwork size should be between 8 inches - 15 inches.

Fee:  The fee is $5.00 per student (for U.S. entries) for up to three (3) submissions. International submissions are free.  All submissions mailed in should include a return shipping label.

Entry deadline:  March 20, 2020

Exhibition dates:  April 13 - May 10, 2020

Mail-in submissions will be mailed out by May 13.  In-person pick up is May 11. 

Students should submit all work through their school.  Limit of three (3) entries per student. Individual schools should collectively submit their students work. 

A label must be affixed to the back of the work that indicates which end is the top and includes the following:  Title of the piece, Artist name, School’s name.  Also, include the submission form with each entry.
