Dear Colleagues,
We
are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for
the '2018 International Conference on Clothing and Textiles(ICCT)' by the Korean
Society of Clothing and Textiles (KSCT) at Yonsei University,
Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 26, 2018.
KSCT is the largest
educational and scientific organization for the field of fashion and textiles,
and its primary goal is to advance research and education for academicians and
industry practitioners in this field. Over 4,000 members of KSCT work in fashion and textile industry, universities,
government, and consulting.
We invite abstracts for oral and poster presentations,
and graduate students’ research competition. The conference features research
addressing the annual
theme of "Sustainability and Transformative Innovations.” Innovation and
sustainability have become the greatest drivers of success for the global
fashion and textile industry that faces unprecedented complexity of market
disruption. With information available 24/7/365 through digital access and
transformative technology, the conventional perspective and analytic approach
are not able to keep business sustainability. Minimal research addresses this
phenomenon and a robust body of knowledge is lacking to frame understanding.
Through a series of scholarly presentations, participants will explore and
investigate what goes on the fashion and textile field in 21st
century. We particularly welcome submissions on topics addressing
interdisciplinary knowledge of innovations using competencies in technology
that clarify business sustainability as they are exhibited across all delivery
channels, technologies, and market spaces.
